Our Story
Every frame we capture and story we tell is shaped by a clear, unwavering purpose. Our journey as a creative collective has been driven by a singular belief: that media has the unique power to change minds and move hearts. Through every project, we focus on staying true to the human element, making space for thoughtful, honest, and lasting storytelling.
What began as a shared desire to help local advocates has evolved into a dedicated, full-service creative partner for nonprofits. We are incredibly proud of the impact our visual work has amplified so far, and we are even more excited to help write the next chapter of your organization's mission.
Meet the Founder & Co-Director
Driven by the belief that a single, honest story can change the trajectory of a community, Shelby founded Nonprofit Media Co. to bridge the gap between world-changing missions and beautiful, high-end media. Bringing a background in documentary photography & creative strategy and a deep heart for social good, she wanted to give nonprofits access to the same caliber of visual storytelling usually reserved for major commercial brands. For Shelby, this work is never about chasing a perfect shot; it is about honoring the dignity and resilience of the people behind every single mission. Whether behind the lens or collaborating on creative strategy, she is dedicated to helping your organization be seen, heard, and remembered.

What makes us different
We view ourselves as a true extension of your team, not just an outside agency. We understand that nonprofit work requires immense grit, heart, and dedication, which is why we bring that same relentless energy behind the lens to capture the authentic, raw moments that usually go unseen.
What sets our work apart isn’t just the gear we use or the technical polish—it’s the profound intention behind every shot. We take the time to truly listen, immerse ourselves in your community, and create with deep respect and purpose at every single turn of the creative process.
